Project
In the paper mill in Duszniki-Zdrój, we are successively running the rebuilding, renovation, protection and adaptation works. We are also pursuing extension of the museum cultural and educational offer. These activities require high expenses.
The team of the employees has developed the project entitled ‘Renovation and adaptation for the cultural purposes of the historic paper drying house and fire protection of the Museum of Papermaking in Duszniki-Zdrój complex with the preservation and digitisation of the collections.
In 2014, the project received the suport under the European Economic Area financial mechanism and Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2009-2014 – Conservation and enhancement of cultural heritage programme. It was among 21 out of 277 projects selected for funding.
The grant amount is 6.682.490 zł whereas the total value of the task is 9.562.660 zł. The own contribiution has been provided by the Local Government of Lower Silesian Voivodeship which is the organiser of the Museum of Papermaking.
The project realisation will last until the end of the first quarter of 2016. In this time, the renovation and adaptation of the drying house building will have been finished,the modern fire protection of the whole object will have been developed and the part of the collection will have been preserved and digitised.
Through the whole project, we are informing about its objectives, implementation and the effects. We undertake a numer of actions to promote the funds, our project and its expected and achieved outcomes.
